Glow fluid art starts like a classic pour — you tip, tilt and swirl flowing acrylics into a one-of-a-kind canvas. The twist: our paints are UV-reactive. When the studio lights go out and the blacklights come on, your painting comes alive in electric neon — cells, ribbons and colors you didn't even know were hiding in there. No brushes, no experience needed, and nobody else in the Tri-Valley has it.

What is glow-in-the-dark fluid art?
It's acrylic pour painting made with UV-reactive paints. You pour and tilt flowing colors across a canvas — no brushes, no experience needed — then we switch on the blacklights and the whole painting transforms into glowing neon. You take home a canvas that reads as two artworks: marbled color in daylight, electric glow under UV light.
Is Danville really the only place with a blacklight art room?
Yes — Makers Art Studio Danville has the only glow-in-the-dark fluid art room in the Tri-Valley. It's exclusive to our Camino Tassajara studio; you won't find it at our Pleasanton location or anywhere else nearby.
Do the colors still glow in daylight?
In normal light your canvas looks like a vivid fluid art painting — the UV pigments read as bright, saturated color. The glow appears under blacklight, so it comes alive again anytime you put it under a UV bulb at home. Small blacklight lamps are inexpensive and turn any room into your own mini glow gallery.
What ages is glow fluid art good for?
Almost everyone. Kids around 5 and up do great with a grown-up alongside, tweens and teens are obsessed with it, and adults book it for date nights and girls' nights. It's one of the few activities where a 6-year-old and a grandparent both walk out thrilled with what they made.
Can we book a glow party or a private glow session?
Absolutely — glow birthday parties are our most-requested party theme, and the Kid's Birthday Party Event starts at $350. For girls' nights, team outings or any private group, we can reserve the blacklight room just for you. Start with the private events page or call (925) 266-4845 and ask for a glow session.
What should we wear under the blacklight?
Wear white or neon if you want to glow along with your painting — blacklight makes them shine. We provide aprons, but it's still an acrylic paint studio, so dress for a little creative mess. Closed-toe shoes are a good idea for younger makers.
