Fluid Art & Pour Painting in Danville

Pour flowing acrylics, tilt your canvas and watch cells and ribbons of color bloom — no brushes, no experience, no two alike. This is the studio formerly known as Hawaii Fluid Art Danville, now Makers Art Studio.

★★★★★ 4.9 on Google · 100+ reviews · All materials included · Beginner-friendly & fully guided

Pour painting (also called fluid art or acrylic pouring) is the easiest way to make real art on your first try: pick a palette, pour flowing paints onto your canvas, and tilt to reveal cells, ribbons and marbled color. Nobody sketches, nobody needs a steady hand — every canvas comes out striking, which is why it's the most-booked first visit at our studio on Camino Tassajara.

It works for everyone at the table: adults chasing a creative reset, kids and teens, couples, and whole birthday or girls'-night groups. And after dark, the same pour goes neon — Glow-in-the-Dark fluid art under blacklight, the only experience like it in the Tri-Valley.

How a pour painting session works

  • Pick your palette — choose your colors; our team helps you build combos that pop.
  • Pour & tilt — layer the paints, then tilt the canvas to pull cells and ribbons across the surface.
  • Finish it — add metallic accents, or size up if you're feeling ambitious.
  • Pickup — pours need time to dry and self-level; we'll let you know when your canvas is ready to come home.

Questions guests ask

Good to know before you pour

Is Makers Art Studio Danville the same as Hawaii Fluid Art?

Yes — we're the studio formerly known as Hawaii Fluid Art Danville. Same location at 3478 Camino Tassajara Rd, same team, same signature pours. We're now Makers Art Studio Danville, with a bigger menu that includes the Tri-Valley's only Glow-in-the-Dark fluid art room.

What is pour painting (fluid art)?

Pour painting — also called fluid art or acrylic pouring — is a brush-free technique where you pour flowing acrylic paints onto a canvas and tilt it so cells, ribbons and marbled patterns emerge. There's no skill barrier, which is why beginners get striking results on the very first try.

How much is a pour painting class in Danville?

The signature Fluid Art Experience is $35 per person with all materials included. Drip Art Characters — 3-D bears, bunnies and piggy banks — are $65, and the oversize Masterpiece Series is $250.

Is fluid art good for kids?

Very — Danville is a family studio, and pouring is one of the few art forms where a six-year-old and an adult get equally beautiful results. Kids pour all summer in our art camps (sessions Jun 15 – Aug 8), and it's the most popular pick for birthday parties.

What is Glow-in-the-Dark fluid art?

It's our after-dark take on pour painting: UV-reactive pigments in a blacklight room, so your canvas glows while you pour. We're the only studio in the Tri-Valley with it. Book a Fluid Art Experience and ask for a glow session, or see the Glow page for details.

When can I take my painting home?

Poured canvases need time to dry and self-level before they travel, so most pieces are picked up a few days later — we'll let you know when yours is ready. Check your experience's product page for exact timing.

Do I need to book ahead, or can we walk in?

Booking online guarantees your seats and canvas sizes, especially on weekends. We're open Tue–Sat 11 AM–7 PM and Sun 11 AM–6 PM (closed Mondays), and walk-ins are welcome whenever seats are open.

No two pours ever match — including yours
